Tenisha Schild In 2005, as I watched Michael Pangan do his Joel Ferrell Award winning solo, he inspired me to become a better dancer. Everything he did was amazing! The whole year I worked extremely hard to become a better dancer. The next year, 2006, I came to AAU Junior Olympic Games again. I ended up winning the Joel Ferrell award that year, and I have Michael Pangan to thank for inspiring me so much. The AAU Junior Olympic Games helped me realize that you can always become better at the sport you do, and helped me to realize my full potential in dance. Thanks for adding dance to the AAU Junior Olympic Games! It has helped me so much to compete in the 2005 & 2006 AAU Junior Olympic Games - Dance!

Where Are They Now --- After the 2003 Junior Olympic Games, Ashley Gillett became a professional dancer for the Utah Jazz NBA Basketball Team, where she danced as a Jazz dancer for two consecutive seasons. She also has been attending Westminster College and is graduating this June with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in the top ten percent of her class. |
