DEAR DANCE STUDIO DIRECTORS

Dear Dance Studio Director,

With the new competition year underway, we are excited to announce that for the 7th consecutive year, DANCE will be a part of the AAU Junior Olympic Games! The AAU Dance Staff is so grateful to you and your students for the support you have shown to the AAU Junior Olympic Games in the past, and we are looking forward to making 2007 in Knoxville, Tennessee the best, and most competitive year yet in the AAU Junior Olympics Games.

Beginning this year teams and individuals will no longer be required to compete at one particular competition to qualify for the AAU Junior Olympic Games. Teams and individuals who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at any creditable competition, National Competition or AAU Event, will qualify for the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Knoxville, Tennessee!

New This Year! In addition Directors if your teams do not qualify or you are not going to another competition and still want to participate, we will have a separate Open at Large Division.

The 41st AAU Junior Olympic Games will be held July 24 - August 4, with the standard dance (jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, etc.) competition taking place on Thursday July 26. The clogging competition will be Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28. So, mark your calendars, begin those fundraisers, and get ready to compete for the gold in summer of 2007 in Knoxville, Tennessee!

For all Ballroom and Swing competitors this year there will be a separate National competition to be held July 21, in Utah.
